The most common question is what the name means. In the original cuvée, we tried to bring together the expressive Cabernet Sauvignon with the not-quite-sensible Cabernet Moravia, and added the hyperdominant Alibernet. The only thing the wines really had in common was the base of the word Cabernet, hence „Bernety“. We soon realized that relationships where the couples have the same weaknesses and strengths don’t really work out, and having an aggressive, immature dude hanging around really doesn’t help. The velvety, friendly Merlot finally brought comfort and peace into the equation, so the whole blend could become harmonious and balanced at last – while retaining the original name.
